We are a church that is an excepted charity under the auspices of the Baptist Union of Wales. As such, Salem is run by a group of managing trustees or deacons, including Rosa and Paula. Our other managing trustees are Mrs Margaret Rogers, Mrs Irene Elliott, Mrs Ann Williams, Mrs Andrea Coombes, Mr Richard Weaver and Mrs Carol Snook.
We take safeguarding children and vulnerable adults very seriously at Salem. Our church has appointed Dr Emma Birch as our Designated Person for safeguarding, and she should be contacted on 07581888006 if there are any concerns about the safety of children or vulnerable adults. Mrs Irene Elliott (07833898587) is our trustee with special responsibility for safeguarding.

We are proud of our history here at Salem, especially our connection with John Hughes, the composer of the tune Cwm Rhondda. John Hughes was a deacon at Salem and is buried in our graveyard.
